Hellenic Prem: Adam Cornell gets Bracknell Town FC back on track

Bracknell Town returned to winning ways as they recovered from an early goal to defeat Lydney Town 3-2 and ensure the two hour journey home from deepest Gloucestershire would be a happy one.

With Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw against ten men Henley Town leaving people underwhelmed, it was a great response by Mark Tallentire and his players to get the job done today.

Cornell added a third goal – his fourteenth of the season – firing home a rebound and although the home side struck in stoppage time it was not enough to deny the Berkshire side.

Victory moves Bracknell up to sixth place and they look nicely poised once again.

Binfield remain top of the pile despite not playing today.

Third placed Thame United hosted second placed Thatcham Town whilst a win for either side would have seen then go top, a thrilling match ended in a 3-3 draw which keeps the Moles two points clear.

Henley Town thought they had secured a valuable win when they led Tuffley Rovers but that also ended in a 3-3 draw whilst Burnham came oh so close to their first point of the season as they narrowly lost 1-0 at home to Brackley Town Saints.
