Bracknell Town and Windsor both march on in the 2017/18 Buildbase FA Vase after big victories in the First Round Proper but Sandhurst Town are out after a defeat in Devon.

Bracknell’s first appearance in this seasons competition ended in a 6-2 victory at Larges Lane over Buckingham Athletic but it wasn’t as plain sailing as the score suggests.

Adam Cornell opened the scoring in the first half only for the visitors to level from the spot. Carl Garstang scored a fine overhead kick to put Bracknell back in front but the visitors levelled again and Liam Ferdinand scored to give the Robins a 3-2 half time lead.

The second half was a little more straightforward with three more goals arriving for Bracknell including Cornell completing his hat trick and a late strike from substitute TJ Bohane.

Windsor upset the odds (thanks Bet Victor!) to beat Hellenic Premier Division promotion chasers Flackwell Heath 5-2 at Wilks Park.

The Royalists were a goal down after one minute but Kieran Knight levelled things up on 11 minutes and Luke Brooks-Smith gave the visitors the lead on 38 minutes and Ashley Smith sent them in with a 3-1 at the lead.

Ricardo Cannon made it 4-1 in the second half after Flackwell had a player sent off and Jack Denton scored Windsor’s fifth after the Heathens had pulled one back.

In Devon there was disappointment for Sandhurst Town who arguably had the toughest assignment of the weekend at South West Peninsula League Premier Division leaders Plymouth Parkway.

The home side won 6-1 and opened the in the first minute but Charlie Oakley hit back for the Fizzers shortly after. However Parkway took a 3-1 lead in to half time and scored three more in the second half.
