It’s a busy weekend of football as usual, weather permitting – across East Berkshire. Here’s what’s going on!

Uhlsport Hellenic Premier League

A full programme of Hellenic Premier matches this weekend with Bracknell Town on the road to rock bottom Burnham.

The Robins – hoping to have approval granted this weekend to return to Larges Lane – could go second or third in the league if results elsewhere go in their favour.

Bracknell have missed TJ Bohane from their last two ties and Mark Tallentire maybe tempted to rest the hitman again against Burnham who they have already beaten twice this season.

Binfield, so good on the road to Gloucestershire last season have a tricky trip to Brimscombe & Thrupp to negotiate.

The Moles are much improved after wins against title chasers Thame United and Flackwell Heath but will need to be wary of the Lilywhites who appear in a slightly false 13th position having only player 15 league games.

Our man Mark Pugh will be at Ascot United as they host title chasing Flackwell Heath and the Yellamen could complete a Berkshire double after the Heathens were humbled by Binfield last Saturday.

Thames Valley Premier League

It’s fifth vs sixth in the TVPL as Berks County look to get back to winning ways at Mortimer.

County were unbeaten in four games until last Saturday’s 3-2 defeat at table toppers Marlow United.

Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 East

It’s a full set of away days in D1E as well with Wokingham & Emmbrook on the road to Chalfont Wasps.

The Sumas are battling Finchampstead for seventh place as it stands and will reel in the Wasps in sixth with a win.

Talking of Finch, Jon Laugharne’s side are at third place Bicester Town full of confidence after a 6-2 win at home to Didcot Town Reserves last weekend.

Woodley United have a weekend off despite already having three games in hand on top of the table Penn & Tylers Green, but elsewhere Sandhurst Town are at Headington Amateur’s and AFC Aldermaston head to Rayners Lane.

Ladies Football

Bracknell Town Ladies make their Larges Lane debut on Sunday when they host Milton Keynes City in the Berks & Bucks County Cup.

Also in the cup, Ascot United are at Barton Rovers and Woodley United are at Wycombe Wanderers.

Suburban Football League

No game for Binfield in the Suburban Premier but they are at home to Eversley & California on Monday night.

In Division 1 Central Ascot United are off to Westfield while Bracknell Town have a friendly at Larges Lane against Flackwell Heath Reserves.
