Uhlsport Hellenic Premier League side Bracknell Town have announced the signing of well travelled centre-back Justin Clayton.

Clayton started his career at Southend United and has played for the likes of Maidenhead United and the now defunct Windsor & Eton – but has also had spells with Ascot United and Binfield.

According to the excellent aylesburyunited.co.uk player database Clayton made nine appearances for Slough Town in Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Divison – two levels higher than the Hellenic Premier – and will join Bracknell with a level of expectation from supporters.

Rebels joint manager Neil Baker said exclusively to FootballinBracknell: “We had Justin with us last season in the Southern Premier. He had experience at that level with the likes of Maidenhead United and played quite a few games. He was very solid and great in the air!”.

Clayton has reportedly been training with Bracknell this season in a bid to regain fitness and was present for his new sides 9-0 rout of Brackley on Tuesday night.

Bracknell have struggled with clean sheets this season having managed only two – albeit in their last two fixtures.
