The Bracknell Football Awards are an annual awards ceremony run by Football in Bracknell and supported by the Elite Preparation Centre (EPC).

They were setup to celebrate the great and the good in the local non league game, from the semi professional clubs down to the hundreds of junior teams, players and volunteers so vital to ensuring the game takes place.

Categories include Player of the Season, Young Player of the Season, Referee of the Season and Goal of the Season amongst many others.

During the 2017 nomination period, Football in Bracknell received over 400 nominations which were then judged by Wycombe Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth with the following winners:

2018 categories

Categories for the 2018 BFA’s are: Player of the Season, Young Player of the Season, Referee of the Season, Best website or Social Media presence, Volunteer of the Season, Best Photo of the Season, Goal of the Season, Manager of the Season, Best Ground, Supporter of the Season and Single Outstanding Contribution. There will also be a Junior Player of the Year which will be chosen by the EPC team.

Rules

Nominations will be open until 6pm Friday 25th May 2018. Once that date has past the top four nominations in each category will be put before a panel of judges for a decision and announce the winners shortly after with the date and venue to be confirmed.

We will accept nominations for people out of area, the only prerequisite is that the reason for nomination is that it must be because of an affiliation with a club we cover from the Hellenic League down to the Bracknell Sunday League. We will present FiB certificates to the winners.

  • You can nominate as many people as you like for each award
  • Due to difficulties in obtaining permissions under child protection laws we won’t consider any player under the age of 16 for nomination in any of the categories
  • The awards night will take place in June with the date and location to be announced
