As you know we don’t specifically cover Maidenhead United, but we do like to follow the fortunes of former Woodley United and Bracknell Town winger Sam Barratt who is looking to make a name for himself in the Vanarama National League this season.

And on Saturday you’ll get the opportunity to watch the former Robin live with Maidenhead vs Hartlepool United the chosen midday fixture for BT Sport.

The Magpies won promotion to the National League (formerly Conference Premier) last season after winning the National League South and Barratt has already made his mark – scoring the equaliser in the clubs opening day 1-1 draw with Maidstone United on Saturday.

Saturday’s fixture will be the second game of the season at United’s home York Road after Wrexham won 2-1 on Tuesday night – Barratt has been a last 20 minute substitute in both fixtures.

Coverage of the match starts at midday on BT Sport 1 which is available through most satellite television packages or at your local pub – giving you plenty of time to get to another local game after the match.

If you happened to fancy getting BT Sport installed or finding out more you can do so here – using the link will make a small amount of money for FootballinBracknell which will go to help keeping the website running.
