Tuesday nights bumper crowd of 476 at Larges Lane was the biggest crowd at Bracknell Town since the 2003/04 FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie against Barnet.

Then in the Conference Premier and currently residing in League 2, the Bees came to Larges Lane after Bracknell fought their way through four rounds and five matches for the biggest match in years at the club.

Saturday 25th October was the day around 1,500 supporters (we stand to be corrected on that we can’t find the official attendance) descended on the ground – meaning the second and third turnstiles finally got some use!

As you can see from the image at the top of the page, supporters crammed in to the old Quinton End and around the pitch as Alan Taylor’s Bracknell side went down valiantly 3-0 to a side three divisions above them (the North and South Conference Divisions came in the following season).

Bracknell vs Binfield

Matches involving these two sides have always stoked the local interest more so we think than any other match in the area.

In 2012 375 supporters watched Bracknell (then Division 1 East of the Hellenic League) beat their Premier Division neighbours 2-1 in the FA Cup through Tom and Sam Barratt, while the all time record remains the 2,500 who visited for the 1971 FA Amateur Cup tie with Newquay.
