With the season a few weeks old and with every team having played at least ten league and cup matches, we thought we’d tell you our eight strikers to look out for picking only one player per team.

Shane Cooper-Clark (Bracknell Town)

Bracknell Town’s talisman tops the scoring charts so far this season with twelve goals.

It was a standout season for Shane last year who was voted Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division Player of the Year with 36 goals. Add those to his 12 this campaign and it’s almost fifty goals in less than a season and a quarter.

Having turned down four approaches before August had finished, ‘our Shane’ is targeting 100 goals for the Robins.

Terrence Bohane (Highworth Town)

‘TJ’ is a prolific scorer in the Uhlsport Hellenic League. Currently has ten this year.

41 goals in all competitions last year from fifty matches.Forty goals from 45 games the season before.

Always seems to score against us as well and got two on the opening day of the season. Won the league golden boot in the 2010-11 season with 37 league goals from 38 matches and this could very well be his year again.

Marcus Mealing (Thatcham Town)

A good signing this summer having previously played at Burnham & Marlow. Leads the line well with his strength.

The league website shows him with nine goals but I think he has thirteen as goals against Highmoor Ibis x 2 and Highworth Town x 2 are missing.

Scored two against us earlier this season.

Dan Burnell (Flackwell Heath)

Was third in the golden boot standing last year behind colleague Gavin James (now at Maidenhead United) and ‘our Shane’.

He managed an impressive 32 goals from his 28 league matches and has eight goals already this season.
A very busy forward player who is a right nuisance and loves to wind defenders up. He has great movement.

Stephen Robertson (Royal Wootton Bassett Town)

Formerly at Shrivenham, where he always scored goals despite them being at the wrong end of the table.
Scored 22 times in 2013-14 season at Shrivenham and also ended last year with 22 goals in all competitions. He scored seven at Shrivenham before a November move to RWBT where he struck fifteen more times.

A hard-working striker with good movement.

Declan Morley-Lyne (Lydney Town)

Not well known to us with Lydney being Premier Division new boys but seven goals in eleven matches suggest he knows where the goal is.

A home-grown boy who has come through the ranks playing for Lydney Town ‘A’ most of last season but ended last season on the bench for the first team.

A cruciate ligament injury to Division One West golden boot winner Pat Gibbs has given Morley-Lyne his chance this year and he has certainly taken it.

Jamie West (Ascot United)

Thirteen goals last year for a Holyport side that only scored 56 goals all year in all competitions suggest West could do very well playing in a stronger side.

Moved to Ascot this summer with other clubs also interested and has scored four times this year.
A strong and powerful striker who leads the line very well.

Anaclet Odhiambo (Kidlington)

It was 51 games played and 27 goals scored last campaign for an Abingdon United side who finished fifteenth.

Moved to Kidlington for this season and has seven goals from eleven appearances.

A small and tricky forward who has had spells with several Oxfordshire based clubs and he has a good record against us over the years.
