You might have noticed a football ground on your screen during the coverage of Royal Ascot on ITV this week, but who plays there?
Well, Football in Berkshire is delighted to be able to fill you in about Ascot United FC who’s magnificent modern home ground sits within the course of Ascot Racecourse.
The Yellamen’s home – next to car parks 7 and 8 of the racecourse off the A330 – is know by most of us now as ‘The Racecourse Ground’ and backs right up to the edge of the home straight with a great view of the main grandstand.

The club – who play in the Combined Counties League Premier Division, step 5 of the English Football Pyramid – underwent major redevelopment in 2019 with the installation of a 3G pitch and refurbishment of the grounds surrounds – nine years after an impressive rebuild of the club house facility on site.
Ascot is one of the largest clubs in the country when it comes to members with over 750 registered players from age 5 up.
Take a look around the redeveloped ground in the gallery below. All the latest news, including how to contact the club is here. The clubs official website is here.
