Bracknell Town have familiar face back at Larges Lane in the shape of TOM BARRATT. We’ve had a quick chat with the young midfielder.

Hey Tom, great to have you back at the club. What have you been up to?
Hi and thank you, it’s great to be back! Unfortunately work commitments and injuries pushed me away from football here at the Lane, but it’s a quality feeling to be back playing again.

You made a second debut for the club at the weekend, how was it different to your first?
Well, in my first debut I had no idea what to expect – I had butterflies in my stomach due to the nerves, but was just really excited to get out there and play.

Returning for an FA Cup tie must have been special? One of our favourite moments was that goal against Binfield.
Yes, with the stakes being so high, a great game to return to and a well earned result in the end. Let’s hope we can secure a win in the replay!

Speaking of moments, what was your best moment in a Bracknell shirt?
Clearly the Binfield moment was a special and important one for all of us as a club, so that is definitely up there. I remember my first goal I scored pretty well too, so that being another. The team spirit in the dressing room and around the Lane too on those big games gives the players and supporters a great buzz. Therefore that sound and excitement around the ground, especially after a win, will always be fond memories of my time at Bracknell Town FC.

Has much changed since you’ve been away? Obviously there are a few new faces..
The team this season is very young, we have seen a young outfit quite often in recent seasons at Bracknell but this has got to be the youngest. Having said that, the determination and quality this season can’t be questioned, coming together well as a team, battling together to the very end. This is evident to any of the supporters who witnessed the first leg of this FA tie last Saturday.

It will be a big plus for supporters to have you back at Larges Lane. Are you looking forward to playing again?
As soon as I see the pitch I am totally psyched for the game and can’t wait to get out there. This hasn’t changed from day one. Coming back to play is great and I’m hoping that I will be able to make a positive impact.
