Our man Mark Pugh was on hand at Bracknell Town vs Binfield on Tuesday night and had a good chat with long time supporter of both the Robins and the Moles – Alan Quinton.

Some of you will know Alan, his late father Jack is who the Quinton End of Larges Lane is named after and Alan has attended matches regularly over the years at both the Lane and Hill Farm Lane.

Alan said: “I’ve been watching local football for about forty years and I have seen changes all over.

“Binfield have plans of their own and Ascot have had the facilities and equipment for a lot longer.”

Mr Quinton was at the Bracknell against Flackwell Heath on Saturday and was impressed with the surface which provided a fast flowing quick game of football but said he thought the ball slowed up a lot quicker on the surface than it normally would.
