Reading Women are still looking for their first win in FA WSL 1 this season after a 1-1 draw with Sunderland Ladies last night.

The game saw a red card for the North East visitors while there was a penalty apiece – Beth Mead scored on the rebound for Sunderland after 8 minutes while Helen Ward (pictured above) converted from the spot after Stephanie Bannon was sent-off for hand ball.

Reading’s Laurel Park were mascots at the game while Kayleigh Hines walked off with the player of the match award.
