Former Bracknell Town winger Sam Barratt made his first team debut for Maidenhead United in the Vanarama Conference South on Saturday as a second-half substitute.
Barratt joined Magpies a fortnight ago after a successful trial period for the club and following negotiations with Bracknell Town where he was on contract.
Magpies were beaten 4-1 on Saturday by St Albans City but the Maidenhead United website reported that: “Stepping up from the Hellenic League, the teenage Barratt showed no signs of being overawed with some nice touches on the left wing, whipping in a couple of decent crosses.”
Barratt had an outstanding 2013/14 season at Larges Lane winning 3 awards at the end of season presentation ceremony. Robins meanwhile continued a good start to the season on Tuesday night with a 3-1 win over Newbury at Larges Lane.
