During the tour of Bracknell Town FC’s new facility at Larges Lane, chairman Kayne Steinborn-Busse revealed that supporters will be asked via the FootballinBracknell website to suggest a name for the clubs new main stand.

Mr Steinborn-Busse said: “We are opening this up to the clubs supporters to name the new stand, but to be clear – there will be no ‘Boaty McBoatface’ options!”.

See the full rules at the bottom of the page..

Ideas already floating around include naming after the clubs modern day top goalscorer Justin Day, or defensive fan favourite Peter Skerritt – but definitely not Standy McStandface.

So right now we’d like your nominations for ‘club legends’ that the stand could be named after – and we’ll hold a public vote on the website.

Nominations will CLOSE at midday on Thursday 1st December.

The club have already announced that the Quinton End name will remain, and the Larges Lane end will be known as the Bradley End after Brian and June who were responsible for much of the original developments on site.

So, lets have your nominations. Fill out the form below (or if you can’t see it email here) along with your email address so we can notify you of the winner which will be chosen by at BTFC panel.

Watch our video tour of the site:

Stand naming rules:

  • Your nomination must be a former player at the club – the two ends of the ground are already named after ‘off the pitch’ heroes
  • No current players considered – their time will come in the future
  • Definitely no Boaty McBoatface or similar will be considered
