George Armstrong’s 65 minute display for Binfield Reserves on Saturday made him the 40th player to transition from youth to men’s football at Hill Farm Lane in the last seven seasons.

Ellis Woods side beat Royston Town 2-1 in the Suburban League Premier Division on Saturday making it three wins in a row for the Moles.

An own goals and a strike from Jamie McCarthy gave Binfield the win at Hill Farm Lane after they led 1-0 at the break with Woods telling FiB: “We should have scored three in the first ten minutes. Ewan Lynch and Mo Davies had the full backs well occupied.
