Bracknell Town’s season isn’t yet over with the Reading Senior Cup Final coming up on Saturday evening at Madejski Stadium against neighbours Binfield but they have already started planning behind the scenes with several key managerial appointments at Larges Lane.

The former Henley Town management team of Rob Creech and Andy Findlay have been appointed as manager and coach of the clubs Suburban League under 21 side while current boss Liam Day has stepped up to a role with Mark Tallentire in the Robins first team.

Bracknell Town narrowly missed out on promotion to the Southern League after finishing runners up – a place that might be good enough next season – in the Hellenic Premier Division following a tense final day but have gone on to lift the Berks & Bucks County Senior Trophy and Hellenic League Cup in 2017.

A statement on the Bracknell Town website reads: “Club favourite Liam Day is joining Tally to take a role with the 1st Team for the 2017/18 season and we are delighted to announce that Andy Findlay and Rob Creech are taking over the helm with the reserves.”

Findlay, a former player for Bracknell tweeted: “Delighted to announce that @CreechieRob and I have been appointed as Reserve team management @bracknelltownfc to develop new first teamers”

Filling Creech and Findlay’s shoes at Henley is the former Finchampstead manager Jon Laugharne who has been appointed following Finch’s forced demotion from the Hellenic League.
