Wasting no time in preparing for the 2018/19 Uhlsport Hellenic League campaign, new Ascot United manager Jamie Tompkins has confirmed his backroom staff for next season.

Tompkins was confirmed on Saturday as the new Yellamen boss, replacing Neil Richards who is moving back in to his Director of Football role after 18 months as first team boss.

The Yellamen’s season ended on Tuesday night with a 2-0 defeat to Flackwell Heath in the semi final of the Bluefin Sport Hellenic League Supplementary Cup meaning the club can now focus fully on the next season.

Tompkins will be joined at the Racecourse Ground by Aaron Steadman and Dan Masters who will move across from National League side Maidenhead United where they had a very successful spell overseeing the under 23, under 18 and under 16 development teams.

Steadman recently tweeted about his departure from his home town club where he had spent nine years:

Confirming the announcement on the Ascot United website, Tompkins wrote: “I am delighted to announce that Aaron Steadman and Dan Masters will be joining our management team for the 2018/19 season.

“Aaron and Dan both join us after overseeing a successful spell at Maidenhead United’s U23, U18 and U16 Development teams. During their tenure at Maidenhead they consistently won trophies and, more importantly, developed players to reach their full potential. They will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the club, which matches our long-term ambitions.”
