Wokingham & Emmbrook confirm first team manager

Following confirmation that Wokingham & Emmbrook will remain in Hellenic League Division 1 East next season, the club have moved to confirm the managerial setup.

Among several points in a statement released by chairman Steve Williams, the club have confirmed Dan Bateman will remain in charge.

The Sumas announced on Sunday they had agreed a deal to ground share for the 2018/19 season at Bracknell Town’s Larges Lane ground, fulfilling the FA’s ground grading requirements to stay at step 6.

The statement in full reads:

Wokingham & Emmbrook FC (WEFC) will remain in Hellenic 1 East next season and the First Team to ground share for home matches at Bracknell Town FC on Saturday’s and Tuesday’s to fit around BTFC First and Allied teams.

The management structure under Dan Bateman will continue as last season but hopefully with some additions.

WEFC Reserves will continue in Thames Valley Premier League and play home matches at Lowther Road.

The club is now working hard to develop partnerships with more local sponsors, anyone who may be interested to contact Bob Good, Club Secretary.

Wokingham & Emmbrook also confirmed Mark Ashwell had been re-appointed as President heading up the application for the ground improvement grant to upgrade Lowther Road facilities to play Step 6 football in the 2019/20 season.
