Wokingham & Emmbrook have lost the services, at least temporarily of their young forward Ellis Day.

Parent club Bracknell Town have featured the youngster on the bench for their last two fixtures away at Egham Town in the League Cup on 3rd November and at Chalfont St Peter on 10th November in the League.

Day, who was an unused substitute in both fixtures, has scored seven goals in seven games this season for the Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 East Sumas who tweeted on Saturday: “We send best wishes to Ellis Day who is with parent club Bracknell Town after very impressive recent performances for us.”

Day scored all three of Wokingham’s goals in a recent 3-3 draw with Holyport and was also on target against Penn & Tylers Green and Milton United.

Bracknell Town player manager Carl Davies said:” He’s a young player doing well and we will be filtering him in to the first team both training and certain games.

“We just felt the cup game was a good opportunity to get him first team experience.”

Partnerships

In the summer, Bracknell announced they were disbanding their development side and instead would work with local clubs to develop players.

Those partnerships have seen Chris Grace move on dual registration to Binfield while Dave Hancock and Jamie McClurg have also played games for the Moles.

Day was a key player last season for Bracknell’s Allied Counties Youth League side scoring 16 goals in 18 games and was the division’s third top scorer.

Last week, the Sumas Connor Holland earned a trial with English Schools ahead of possible international duty with the Schoolboy team.
