Former Eversley & California manager Ellis Woods has joined Thames Valley Premier League side Berks County as joint manager.

The Swords have secured Woods for the 2019/20 season and he will join current boss Lee Simpson as joint manager at a side that finished 5th in the division and reached the semi finals of the league cup this season.

Woods took over at Combined Counties League Division One side Eversley last summer after a successful spell as development team manager at Binfield but left the role during the season.

Posting on social media about his new role, Woods simply said: “Back at it with this guy!”.

Simpson, previosuly youth team manager and coach at Bracknell Town took over at the Lowther Road side in 2017/18 and has just completed his first full season with the club.

The Swords are celebrating their 10th anniversary in 2019.

Football in Bracknell is looking to increase it’s coverage of the Thames Valley Premier League in 2019/20. Anyone interested in joining the FiB team should email [email protected]
