Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division side Windsor are looking for a new manager after long serving boss Mick Woodham stepped down.

Luke Brooks-Smith, a former Royalists captain has been placed in temporary charge according to the Windsor Observer and will be assisted by Adam Sams and Ben Warren.

Woodham has repeatedly inspired Windsor to success in recent years with two very memorable FA Vase runs to the Quarter Finals and Fifth Round in the last two seasons.

He also led the club to the Hellenic League Challenge Cup Final last season and repeatedly inspired the club to top half finishes on a limited budget since being appointed in the opening weeks of the 2012/13 seasonk, first in the Combined Counties League Premier Division and then the Hellenic League Premier.

A testament to Woodham’s tenure exists in the record that he Royalists have never finished below 12th and finished in the top 6 at step 5 for four of the seven seasons he had been in charge.

FiB note: Mick Woodham has been an ardent supporter of Football in Berkshire since we first made contact 12 months ago, providing sponsors to help keep the site running and regular updates on his team. We’d like to thank Mick for his support and hope we’ll see him back in the game soon.
