What is the ambition for the club? E.G. move up the pyramid? Provide a service for the community?: We are a club looking to eventually move up the football pyramid. We have been running for many years and started out supporting our community in Slough but over the years we have invested in operating a club for everyone and to win trophies. We’d eventually like to move up the ladder once we have our facilities in place.

Who sponsors the club? What does that do for the club?: Club is sponsored by the Singh Sabha Slough Gurdwara (Temple) who have been supporting the club’s projects for many many years.

We have recently been sponsored by Sporting Equals who promote ethnic diversity across sport and physical activity, they are the only organisation in the UK to do so. Originally set up in 1998 by Sport England, in partnership with the Commission for Racial Equality, they are now a fully independent body and a national partner of Sport England. They support the football club for opportunities with a wide range of sports

Who are the big characters and volunteers at your club? Who makes the club tick?: We have a lot of characters within the club who are there to help the club move forward and operate on a day to day basis. Our main guy is our Chairman Huggy Sandhu who has been part of the club since the 90s who has been fundamental in running our senior side dealing with the off the field activities.

What is the big moment in the clubs history?: We have a rich history of winning trophies, we have won trophies at every level this club has played at. The biggest moment was most probably in 2016 when the club won the UK Asian Championship winning the final 6-0 at Celtic Park. Locally the biggest cup we won was the Slough Town Senior Cup in 2018 after defeating Langley.

Who would you say has been your best ever player and why?: Many great players have donned the Singh Sabha jersey over the past 40 years but the one that stands out and took the club to the next level was Damian Markman, a very talented football who made goalscoring look easy, scored goals for fun top professional a huge character in the dressing room and someone who had played the game a higher level. We have huge number of players playing now who have contributed in recent success for the club and I am sure they will be fighting for the mantle to be the ever best player for this club.
