Bracknell Town finally have their final league game of the season on Saturday when relegated Milton United visit Larges Lane at 3pm.

Here’s what to expect, and talking of finality..

Steve Nebbett’s last match as a player

It’ll be a sad day – not for opponents granted – but we’ve learned that Saturday afternoon at Larges Lane will be Bracknell Town and Binfield midfielder Steve Nebbett’s final game as a player.

Nebbett, currently assistant manager of Bracknell is synonymous with the growth of Binfield on the pitch and more recently at Bracknell where he and Danny Oliphant rejuvenated the club following a chastening relegation to division 1 Easy of the Hellenic League in 2012 has announced via Facebook that Saturday will be the final time you’ll see him on the pitch.

He signed off saying: “This is my last ever game for Bracknell so if you wanna see an old man run round booting people and swearing alot come down.”

Bracknell will continue with youth

While 20-goal Adam Cornell and the senior players may feature tomorrow, you can expect a largely youthful Bracknell side again with Sean Hanley and George Lock expected to start, though Ben Poynter is out with countycupitus/work.

The interesting point will come when, if positive performances continue, Mark Talkentire has to choose his strongest side fr the forthcoming cup ties.

Attendances have suffered

We suggested they might on Thursday, and this morning we saw attendance for the evenings ties barely above 50 when you might expect 80 to 100.

Whether quotes attributed to league general manager Brian King are true or not, the league as a whole IS suffering from the fixture backlog.
