With both teams winning on Saturday confidence is high as Bracknell Town host local rivals Highmoor Ibis tonight in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division.

For Bracknell, it’s the first match at their temporary home of Sandhurst Town’s Bottom Meadow ground.

A strange feel

With both TC and I having watched the Robins for a combined total over forty years, it will undoubtedly be strange watching them at home but not at Larges Lane.

Of course, LL is in the middle of a much needed renovation but I’ll admit it will feel incredibly weird tonight. TC has written an article on what to expect at Bottom Meadow.

We are sure other supporters will also find it a little strange.

Plenty of photos

Admittedly they won’t be online until tomorrow but keep an eye out for our two photographers this evening.

With both Neil Graham and Mark Pugh in attendance tonight we are sure to have some great snaps on FootballinBracknell tomorrow.

A tight affair

We could be wrong as we have before and undoubtedly will again but we are expecting a hard fought and close match tonight between two evenly matched sides.

IBIS have won all three of their opening matches – two in the league and one in the Emirates FA Cup whilst the Robins have recovered from opening day defeat to record two successive wins.

Both squads are packed with talent and in Yashwa Romeo, Highmoor have a striker who has tormented the Robins over the years especially whilst playing for Marlow.

That said, Adam Cornell has scored four in the last two matches and he finished last season with 21 goals from 26 matches and we think he has a great shout of winning the division golden boot come the end of the season.

Up against him tonight is a very good central defender in Danny Lingwood who scored the first goal for ‘the Moor’ at their new Scours Lane ground The Rivermoor this past weekend.

Cornell vs. Lingwood could well be the crucial battle this evening.
