Come Saturday evening we’ll be three rounds in to the 2016/17 Suburban Football League season and maybe, just maybe we’ll start to see some patterns emerge.

Ascot United, Binfield and Bracknell Town are all in action in their respective divisions with the former the only home side this weekend, albeit in the league cup.

Leatherhead vs Binfield FC

Suburban League Premier Division

Binfield go to Surrey looking for a first win of the season after a point courtesy of Charlie Craske (pictured above) on Saturday at home to Knaphill.

Speaking of Craske, manager Ellis Woods has confirmed the youngster will make his first start of the season on Saturday when the Moles line up on Leatherhead’s glorious main pitch – a change from the advertised youth ground.

Oh and anyone going to the game beware, Binfield will be wearing their bright coloured away kit for this one!

Suburban League Central Division 1

Bracknell have a 100% record in the division thanks to Tuesday’s 3-2 win over Godalming Town. Goals from Leigh Allen, Ben Hall and Connor Thorndike catapulted Liam Day’s side to the summit.

There was also an outing for George Lock who has been an unused substitute for the first team on four occasions this season, making just one appearance off the bench.

Northwood will arguably provide a tough test of Bracknell’s promotion credentials having won and drawn their opening games of the season so far.

Ascot United vs Walton & Hersham

Suburban League Challenge Cup

United host Southern Division bottom side Walton & Hersham in the League Cup at Ascot Racecourse and will fancy their chances of progression against the pointless side in the first of a two legged first round tie.

Binfield await the winners of this one.
