This is becoming a regular thing isn’t it. Bracknell Town are off to Thatcham Town again this time, and with ACTUAL points available.

Whether it is the Robins or the Kingfishers who emerge victorious, one thing is for sure this should be a game for the neutrals with a lot of striking talent on show.

Before you get started, here’s all the weekends local Hellenic Football League action.

TJ’s debut?

Bracknell broke our metaphorical twitter transfer klaxon in the week when they announced the signing of Hellenic hitman TJ Bohane.

The forward has 174 goals in 225 Hellenic Premier League matches and joins Adam Cornell and Joe Grant who both scored 20+ goals each last season for Bracknell and Ascot United respectively.

Familiar faces.. and goals

Both sides have swapped personnel in the last six months. Thatcham have Robins favourite Shane Cooper-Clark up front and popular ex-Bracknell manager Keith Pennicott-Bowen as coach.

Cooper-Clark scored four in midweek in the 11-0 rout of Burnham.

Bracknell signed blues defender Alex Rodrigues in the week and striker Ian Davies during the summer although the forward has only made two appearances for Bracknell so far while Rodrigues should make his debut.

Defensive issues

In a recent audio interview with our man Mark Pugh, Bracknell manager Mark Tallentire bemoaned his side giving away soft goals – something that continued in the FA Cup defeat at Egham Town while Bracknell drew 3-3 in midweek at Thame United despite being 3-1 up.

It’s fair to say though that result had as much to do with the first half dismissal of Johnny Gray as anything else and Bracknell managed to score two of their goals after the left-backs red card.

Forward thinking

As mentioned, Bracknell look excellent going forward with goals right across the front. Whether new man Bohane will start alongside Cornell is yet to be seen but both midfielders Kensley Maloney and Khalid Senussi (pictured top) will be relied upon heavily to provide the chances.
