Bracknell Town have a rare home fixture at Bottom Meadow on Tuesday night when they host the first ‘Battle of the Bracks*’ with Brackley Town Saints the visitors in the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier League.

The Robins answered a question or two with a 6-0 win at Royal Wootton Bassett Town on Saturday and despite being 14th in the league, Brackley have started well enough and will offer another test of Mark Tallentire’s sides title credentials.

Saints beat Highmoor-IBIS on Saturday 5-2, not a remarkable result as such particularly with Highmoor continuing their Jekyll and Hyde persona from last season – but considering prior to the game Brackley had only scored 10 league goals it’s one to take notice of that.

Bracknell have no such problems up top with Adam Cornell on 18 and TJ Bohane on 10 for the season (2-1) respectively, but where they have been suspect is at the back – Saturday’s shut out was only their second clean sheet in all competitions this season.

Elsewhere Ascot United will hope to bounce back from handing Burnham their first win of the season on Saturday after a bit of a torrid run of one win in five – a cup win over an under strength Thame United.

The Yellamen started former Bracknell Town forward Jon Palmer on Saturday, but it was Louis Gilpin who got the goal but an improvement is needed if they are to get back to winning ways at home to second bottom Oxford City Nomads.

Talking of Burnham, could it be two in a row? The Bucks side host inconsistent Ardley United and could just cause another shock.

Bracknell Town vs Brackley Town Saints
Burnham vs Ardley United
Highmoor-Ibis vs Henley Town
