Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division leaders Flackwell Heath host second place – and title favourites – Bracknell Town tonight but no points are on offer as the match is a Berks & Bucks FA Senior Trophy semi-final.

The prize for the victors is a place in the final against either Newport Pagnell Town or Binfield who meet in the other semi-final.

It’s the first official ‘away’ match for the Robins having beaten Thatcham Town 2-1 in the first round and Holmer Green 2-0 in the quarter final but both those fixtures were of course played at Sandhurst Town.

The Heathens had a bye in the first round but swept aside Highmoor Ibis in the quarter final winning 4-0.

It’s tough to pick a winner with form incredibly good for both teams. Flackwell have won seven games in a row scoring 21 goals in the process and only conceding five goals. In fact, their last defeat was at Binfield on 26th November.

Mark Tallentire’s side are in even better form though. Its twelve wins in a row having last tasted defeat on 5th November at Tuffley Rovers. An average of over four goals per match too – 49 goals in 12 outings – with eleven conceded.

We would have to make Bracknell marginal favourites with plenty of match winners in the side. Adam Cornell and TJ Bohane have 54 goals between them whilst Joe Grant has 15 and Kensley Maloney has struck 13 times this season.

Dan Burnell with 16 and James Essex with 13 lead the scoring charts for Heath with no other player on double figures although Dan Rapley has nine goals.

The scoring options and power that Tallentire has at his disposal especially Bohane with a hat-trick in each of his last two appearances has to see them as most likely winners but it should be a cracking encounter.

Kick-off is 7.45pm at Wilks Park.
