It’s  been a long time coming but Wokingham & Emmbrook and Bracknell Town finally play their Reading Senior Cup semi-final on Monday night (ko 7.30pm).

Bracknell haven’t played since lifting the Bluefin Sport Hellenic League Challenge Cup on the 1st May while Wokingham have to look back further to their final league game against Chalfont Wasps on 22nd April.

The winners will play either Binfield or Woodcote Stoke Row on Saturday at Madejski Stadium.

Where is the game being played?

The Reading Senior Cup committee have decided on a neutral venue for both of the weeks semi-finals at Scours Lane, the former home of Reading Town and current home of Highmoor-IBIS.

Bracknell supporters will be familiar with the grounds location at the top end of Reading’s Oxford Road while Wokingham face Woodley United in Division 1 East.

Address: Scours Lane, Tilehurst RG30 6AY

How to get there: The best way to get to Scours Lane is by car with plenty of parking on site. It is also possible to go via train to Reading West from Bracknell or Wokingham station – but you will need to change at Reading. Reading West is a two minute train ride away and then an approximate 20 minute walk to the ground.

What to expect

Bracknell will be the favourites going in to the game but a lot will depend on what sort of side the two teams can put out.

The Robins were the favourites the last time the two sides met in the semi-final back in 2013/14 when they were again separated by a division but the Sumas overcame Bracknell at Larges Lane 2-1.

It will be the two sides first meeting in the 2016/17 season but Bracknell won two of the three encounters last season – although the Sumas won the last encounter between the two sides 3-0 at Larges Lane.
