Here we are at the very final game of the East Berkshire football season, and it comes down to 90 minutes between neighbours Binfield and Bracknell Town for the right to lift the Reading Senior Cup at the wonderful Madejski Stadium (kick off 7pm).

The sides have met on five occasions already this season with Bracknell currently on top and eyeing a sixth win on Saturday evening thought that very sentence should write Moles manager Roger Herridge’s pre match team talk itself.

Likely squads

It would be a surprise if Bracknell changed their line up too much from Monday nights semi-final win though Seb Bowerman went off with what looked like an injury in the second half and striker Adam Cornell is unavailable.

The Robins do have captain Carl Davies back in contention after a long suspension but centre backs Callum Whitty and Alex Rodrigues have only conceded one goal in the last four games – two of which were cup finals.

Binfield are definitely without top scorer Liam Ferdinand who is suspended while Michael Walton, Grant Kemp and Sean Moore all miss out.

The Moles do have experience up front though with Jon Bennett – scorer of the equaliser against Woodcote on Wednesday – in the squad along with fellow scorers Brad Pagliaroli and Ben Cook.

History

The Reading Senior Cup hasn’t been a particular friend to the Moles who have been runners up the last two seasons to Wokingham & Emmbrook and Henley Town. For Bracknell, as far as we are aware Saturday will be their first appearance having twice been beaten semi-finalists since entering the competition regularly in the last decade.

Tickets, where to park and how to get in

Tickets will be available at the ground priced £6 adults and £3 OAPs and concessions. There is plenty of parking on site at the Madejski Stadium and once you arrive you’ll need to head to turnstile 4 which will be open from 5.45pm.
