After a short break football returns to East Berkshire this coming weekend with three of our local sides in action.

Binfield, AFC Aldermaston and Woodley United all have fixtures scheduled for Saturday with the Moles trip to relegated Southern League side Wantage Town the stand out tie of the weekend.

Both sides will meet in the Hellenic Premier Division this season but an early friendly will almost certainly have little bearing on any future league encounters.

Woodley have given themselves a tough start to their pre season campaign with a tie against beaten Southern League Division 1 play off semi finalists Marlow while AFC Aldermaston head up the M4 to Taplow.

There are four more games on Tuesday night with Bracknell Town hosting Conference South side Hungerford Town and Ascot United heading to Walton & Hersham.

As ever with pre season friendlies, please contact and check with clubs to confirm venue and kick off times as these can change.

Saturday 1st July

  • Taplow vs AFC Aldermaston (Furze Platt Leisure Centre, 2.15pm)
  • Wantage Town vs Binfield
  • Woodley United vs Marlow (at Everest Community Academy, Basingstoke)

Tuesday 4th July

  • AFC Aldermaston vs Mortimer (6:30pm)
  • Bracknell Town vs Hungerford Town
  • Guildford City vs Woodley United
  • Walton & Hersham vs Ascot United
