It seems to get earlier every summer but 2017/18 league football commences on Tuesday night in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division.

There are a few games to choose from with all our local sides in action including a tasty local derby between Bracknell Town and Ascot United as well as a first ever step five match for Woodley United.

Bracknell Town v Ascot United

Title favourites Bracknell have enjoyed a very successful pre-season winning six of nine matches with Joe Gater and Liam Ferdinand added to the ranks.

Ascot have only played three times drawing one and losing two but they very nearly secured a draw with ten men at Larges Lane last time around.

Coming to Bracknell? Most Ascot fans will be familiar, but here’s our guide including ticket prices and travel options

Burnham v Highmoor Ibis

Two of the strugglers last term with Highmoor in fourteenth and Burnham second bottom.

The hosts were offered a reprieve to stay in the Premier Division and after losing their first eighteen league and cup matches last year will hope for a better start this time around against an unpredictable Ibis side who can be brilliant on their day.

Flackwell Heath v Woodley United

The third place team from last season host Woodley who could not have got a much tougher first ever fixture at this level.

Preparations this summer have been good at Woodley who will relish the challenge in this division.

Headed to Flackwell? Here’s our guide including ticket prices and travel options

Wantage Town v Binfield

The sides were meant to meet in pre-season but the Moles were missing too many players so it’s apt they play on the opening evening.

Binfield’s pre-season has been mixed with lots of players blooded whilst the home side are back at step five after three seasons in the Southern League.
