Six Bracknell Sunday League sides in County Cup and busy weekend league and cup action

More Bracknell Town & District Sunday League cup action this weekend in both the Berks & Bucks Sunday Intermediate Cup 2nd Round as well as the conclusion to round 2 of both the Leagues Senior and Junior Cups.

Six Premier Division teams look to make progress to the 3rd round of the County Cup with FC Fernhill, on the back of their resounding victory in the League Cup last weekend, entertaining Beaconsfield Arms, William Twigg Vets host Maidenhead Nomads, whilst Finchampstead Athletic host Magpies 91. The draw has pitted Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW against Crowthorne Inn in an all Bracknell Sunday League tie whilst Morale Madrid “go Italian” with a home tie against Real Milan.

The one remaining round 2 tie in the League’s Senior Cup sees Bracknell Cavaliers, struggling so far in the Premier Division, face Berks All Stars of Division 1 in an intriguing tie that could see goals.

The one game scheduled for the Premier Division sees FC Meta (4th) play an in-form Golden Farmer Rangers (3rd). A win for Meta will see then move back into 3rd whilst a win for the Framer will see them close the gap on Twigg Vets in 2nd to one point.

The top 4 in Division 1 all play home league fixtures this weekend. WAB (top) will be favourites to beat Hurricanes, Raglan (2nd) may find it tough against a resilient Winkfield, Loveman United (3rd) will look to get back to winning ways following two recent defeats as they entertain Ashridge Park whilst AFC Crowthorne, who have shown some good form recently, play Sandhurst FFC.

In the remaining 2nd round ties of the League Junior Cup Woodley Saints, top of Division 3 and unbeaten, could upset 3M of Division 2. Warfield United will be favourites to beat Hope & Anchor (Division 4) and Ashridge Park Royals, flying high in Division 2 play Winnersh Town of Division 3.

Two Bracknell teams play for a place in round 3 of the Berks & Bucks Junior Trophy as Bracknell Cavaliers Reserves entertain Bracknell Corinthians.

In Division 2, with top team Warfield in cup action, Athletico Ascot (2nd) will look to close the gap to 7 points with a win against Bracknell Athletic whilst Woodley United (3rd) could stay in contention with all 3 points against Bracknell Saint Germain.

Competition at the top of Division 4 looks to intensify this weekend as Silver Birch A (top) play Bracknell Titans and Crownwood Dukes (2nd) play Finchampstead Athletic A.

FiB predicts:

  • Berkshire All Stars to upset Bracknell Cavaliers in the Senior Cup
  • Top 4 in Division 1 all to win
  • Silver Birch A to stretch further clear at the top of Division 4
