A number of our teams will be pleased to get back to League football this weekend following a busy period of cup ties and this weekend’s programme throws up some fixtures of huge significance in most Divisions.

The stand-out fixture in the Premier Division sees Crowthorne Inn (top) play FC Meta (3rd). Meta trail Inn by 6 points and have two-games in hand over the leaders. A win for Meta will put a stake in the ground so far as their challenge for the title is concerned whilst a win for Inn will well and truly consolidate their position in top spot. Second placed William Twigg Vets travel to 5th placed Golden Farmer Rangers. Six points separate those two teams and Farmer have a game in hand over Twigg. Elsewhere Bracknell Cavaliers (8th) play FC Fernhill (7th) whilst Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW (9th) take on Finchampstead Athletic (4th).

The one cup game to be played this weekend sees Morale Madrid play Real Milan with Morale aiming to make it through to the 3rd round of the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup.

In Division 1 WAB, 9 points clear at the top, take on 3rd placed AFC Crowthorne who have 3 games in hand over WAB and second placed Raglan play Binfield Royals (5th). Other games see Berkshire All Stars (6th) play Ashridge Park (8th), Finchampsead Athletic Reserves (10th) play Loveman United (4th), 10 points adrift of WAB but with 4 games in hand, and Sandhurst FFC (11th) play Winkfield (7th).

Unbeaten Warfield United, top of Division 2 and clear by 6 points will look to put a strangle hold in top spot with a win against an inconsistent Bracknell Saint Germain side. Warfield’s nearest challengers Woodley United (2nd) play Berks County (4th) and Athletico Ascot (3rd) play Ashridge Park Royals (5th).

Its top versus bottom in Division 3 as Berkshire United, without a league point so far, entertain league leaders WAB Reserves. WAB could stretch their lead at the top to 4 points as their nearest challengers don’t play.

Silver Birch A have the chance to stretch their lead at the top of Division 4 if they were to overcome the challenge of 6th placed FC Harmanswater who they travel to on Sunday. Ten points separate he two teams though Harmanswater have a game in hand. Fourth placed Finchampstead Athletic could leapfrog long-time leaders Crownwood Dukes, who don’t play this weekend, with victory against Whitegrove Pythons.
