The big focus for much of the weekend will undoubtedly be on the FA Vase Quarter Final fixtures, particularly the one taking place at Larges Lane but that doesn’t mean the football elsewhere stops with two important away days for Binfield and Ascot United in the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier Division.
The Moles boss Roger Herridge spoke to the Wokingham Paper this week ahead of his sides trip to Lydney Town and said he believed Binfield’s form in Gloucestershire was good over the last few seasons, indeed it will need to be with one more trip West in quick succession after the midweek win at Bishop’s Cleeve and Saturday’s visit to Lydney.
Ascot aren’t out of the relegation woods yet but have put eight points between themselves and the bottom four with seven games remaining. A win at Tuffley Rovers will edge them closer to mid table, a position they would undoubtedly be delighted with.
If you haven’t been down to AFC Aldermaston yet this season and experienced the pre match grub at the Rec Soc Saturday is a good opportunity in Division 1 East while Virginia Water are at Wallingford Town looking to bounce back from their midweek defeat to Sandhurst Town.
As ever, please check with the host club before you travel. Links on the home teams indicate we have an away day guide available to help plan your trip. If you want to follow all the FA Vase previews, visit the index page here.
