As we write this is on Good Friday we expect the deluge of rain to decimate this weekend’s football action but Bracknell Town will be delighted to have two home games tomorrow and on Easter Monday.

First up is Royal Wootton Bassett Town on Saturday before the pick of any match this weekend sees Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division leaders Highworth Town visit Larges Lane.

A few weeks ago all of the pressure was on the Robins as they attempted to catch up their numerous matches in hand but a recent wobble for the Worthians has shifted all of the pressure onto them.

Carl Davies’ side could lose to Highworth but wins in every other league matche would see them still finish above Highworth whilst a Bracknell win on Monday would mean the Robins having to lose a minimum of three of their remaining seven matches assuming Davies’ side have beaten Bassett tomorrow.

Ascot United have one home and one away match but spare a thought for Windsor who have to travel to Wiltshire and Gloucestershire as they face Highworth Town and Lydney Town.

Woodley have two home matches scheduled but we’ll be very surprised if any football is played this weekend at Rivermoor whilst it’s a blank weekend for Binfield.

In Division One East, Virginia Water can secure the title with victories over Thame Rangers and AFC Aldermaston though even a slip up in one match would see them crowned champions with victory in their final game but you can bet they’d like to get the job done this weekend – weather permitting of course.

There’s no ladies football with it being Easter Sunday and there’s a limited Thames Valley Premier League programme this weekend.
