The standout match this weekend sees Binfield host title chasing Thatcham Town in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division at Hill Farm Lane on Saturday whilst three of our sides face trips to Gloucestershire.

Both Thatcham and Bracknell Town look set to earn promotion and can both still finish on 98 points but a victory or even a draw for the Moles will help their local rivals at Bracknell and make them favourites for the title.

Due to the Kingfishers superior goal difference, the Robins will probably need to finish with more points than Thatcham to secure the title.

Victory for Roger Herridge’s side will also greatly help their own ambitions of securing a top six finish.

Gloucestershire sides Longlevens, Lydney United and Tuffley Rovers entertain Windsor, Ascot United and Bracknell respectively with the latter knowing they must win to profit from any Thatcham slip-up.

Before that though, Woodley United host Royal Wootton Bassett Town tonight (Friday) whilst Rivermoor sees plenty of action this weekend as Highmoor Ibis welcome Binfield on Monday evening.

Hellenic League promotion

In Division One East, Virginia Water can secure promotion with victory over Didcot Town Reserves. As well as earning promotion, Water will return to top spot and they know that a win in one of their remaining two matches would see them crowned champions.

In ladies’ football on Sunday there’s a great chance for Southern Region Women’s Football League First Division Northern leaders Woodley United to win the title as they host second place Wargrave.

Three points for Woodley would crown them champions but a draw would see the title race go to the last day. With United having then completed their league campaign Wargrave would have to beat Wycombe Wanderers by seven goals to deny Woodley the title.

As ever, please check with the host club before you travel. Links on the home teams indicate we have an away day guide available to help plan your trip.
