On Thursday evening Finchampstead Athletic defeated Golden Farmer Rangers 4-0 and in doing so moved to within a point of Crowthorne Inn at the top of the Bracknell Town & District Sunday League.
Premier Division
This Sunday’s top fixture, and of huge significance to the fight for the title, sees Finchampstead host 5th placed FC Fernhill, who trail Finch by 12 points but have 5 games in hand.
Elsewhere, leaders Crowthorne Inn travel to play Golden Farmer Rangers and will be looking for the all-important win to keep the chasing pack at bay that includes 3rd placed William Twigg Vets and FC Meta (4th), who play each other this weekend
Division 1
On Thursday evening Raglan stretched their unbeaten league sequence to 12 games with a 3-2 win against a faltering Loveman United.
That win closes the gap to 6-points between themselves and WAB at the top of the table and Raglan still have 3 games in hand.
Raglan and Loveman go head to head again this Sunday. WAB don’t play.
Division 2
The top two in the Division lock-horns this weekend as Woodley United (top) take on 2nd place Warfield United.
Woodley lead the way by 2 points but Warfield, the League’s second unbeaten team, have 2 games in hand. AFC Crowthorne Reserves (4th) take on Athletico Ascot in 3rd.
Division 3
Leaders Woodley Saints travel to play Bracknell Falcons. Elsewhere 2nd placed Bracknell Corinthians, 5 points behind Saints, entertain cup finalists Bearwood Wanderers whilst 5th placed Silver Birch, winners on Thursday evening (3-0 v. Berkshire United) play WAB Reserves (4th).
Division 4
The two games played on Thursday evening saw top team Finchampstead Athletic fall to defeat at the hands of Bracknell Cavaliers Reserves (0-2) whilst Silver Birch A closed to within one point of the leaders with a narrow 1-0 win against Bracknell Titans. Birch have 2 games in hand whilst Finch have only one game to play.
This Sunday could see Bracknell Royals take 2nd place from Birch with a win against Cavaliers Reserves. Neither of the top 2 play this weekend.
