After several weeks of FA Cup goodness, it’s the turn of the Buildbase FA Vase to get in on the act with no less than seven Berkshire sides playing in the First Qualifying Round.

Binfield and Combined Counties League Division 1 side Frimley Green meet at Hill Farm Lane with the latter taking three draws from their opening four games, though they did knock Fareham Town out of the FA Cup.

For Binfield, it’s the start of another FA Vase ‘Road to Wembley’ for one player in particular – Jemel Johnson was a winning finalist with Thatcham Town last season.

Speaking to the Bracknell News, Johnson said: “I can never forget days like that.

“The final was a great occasion and it has been good to come here and share those experiences with the boys.”

The Moles have more Vase experience in goalkeeper Chris Grace and Khalid Senussi who both reached the Quarter Finals last season with Bracknell Town.
