Fixtures in the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Vase are being played up and down the country this weekend. 218 teams have already been eliminated, but two local Step 6 sides that remain are Holyport and Eversley & California.

Eversley & California welcome Step 5 opposition to the ESA Ground in the form of Sydenhams (Wessex) League Premier Division side Lymington Town. The South Hampshire side are undefeated in all competitions this season and have already knocked out local side Sandhurst Town from the FA Cup, following a replay.

Holyport have been drawn at home against Combined Counties Division One side, Fleet Spurs. Spurs are yet to score a point in their six league games this season, but their form in the cups has been much better, and they have progressed through their first fixtures in both the FA Vase and the Cherry Red Records Challenge (League) Cup.

In the Hellenic League Division One East Wokingham & Emmbrook make the trip to Oxfordshire to face Chinnor. The Satsumas currently sit bottom of the table as their win against Bicester Town has been expunged from the records due to Bicester resigning from the league and having their results wiped. Chinnor, nicknamed the Biz, currently sit in 10th position in the league with four points from four games.

Also in league action, Wallingford Town travel to Didcot Town Development. Like the Sumas, Wally have had their win against Bicester removed from their record, so they currently sit in 11th position having won their only league game so far. Didcot have six points from the four league games they have played. This is the first of three meetings between the sides in less than a month, as they are due to face each other in home and away fixtures in the group stage of the Subsidary Cup before the middle of October.

There is a Berkshire derby at Scours Lane as Woodley United entertain AFC Aldermaston. This game has been brought forward from December as neither side had an FA Vase fixture. The reverse league fixture between the two sides was played 10 days earlier with Aldermaston grabbing a late winner in a 3-2 win at the Aldermaston Recreational Society. The Kestrels are looking to pick up their first points of the season while the Atom Men will be trying to keep up the pressure on their rivals at the top of the table.
