The weekend sees the start of this season’s Bracknell Town & District Football League Advantage PrintRoom Senior Cup and Junior Cup with four first round ties to be played in the Senior Cup and five ties to be played in the Junior Cup.

Pick of the Senior ties sees holders FC Fernhill take on Berks County of Division 1 whilst there’s an all-Division 1 tie between in-form Loveman United and Finchampstead Athletic Reserves. Highlights of the Junior Cup games include AFC Crowthorne Old Boys of Division 4 against Golden Farmer Rangers Reserves (Division 2) and Moore Close Manor play Silver Birch Dynamoes, both of Division 2.

Following last weekend’s rain affected Berks & Bucks Junior Trophy programme, four first round ties have been re-scheduled for the weekend including the all-Bracknell Sunday League tie between Finchampstead Athletic A and Bracknell Athletic Reserves.

League action

Top of the bill in the Premier Division this weekend sees Crowthorne Inn take on Finchampstead Athletic. Playing only their 2nd league game of the season to date, a win for Crowthorne Inn will move them up the table whilst a win for Finch (playing their 4th game) will move them into 2nd position behind Fernhill. Other games see Golden Farmer Rangers taking on new boys Athletico Forest whilst WAB play Morale Madrid.

Other fixtures in this division see two promoted teams in Athletico Ascot and Woodley United renew their acquaintances whilst Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW take-on new boys Panthers Reserves.

There are no fixtures scheduled for Division 2 this weekend. In Division 3 Bearwood Wanderers will look to maintain their 100% winning start to the season though Bracknell Royals will offer stiff competition.

Closest challengers currently to Bearwood are Braybrooke Athletic who will look to maintain their strong push for honours this season who take on Hope & Anchor. The other fixture is between Running Horse, showing some much-improved form from last season (as Berkshire United) and Silver Birch A.

The one fixture to be played in Division 4 is between Crownwood Dukes, who will move top with a win, against a struggling Bracknell Titans.
