This weekend sees quarter-final ties in both the Bracknell Town & District Sunday League’s Advantage Printroom Senior Cup and Junior Cup. The most intriguing tie in the Senior Cup sees holders and Premier Division leaders FC Fernhill take on an in-form Lovememan United, currently flying high in Divison 1, occupying 2nd position.

Elsewhere, there’s an all Premier Division tie between Crowthorne Inn and Athletico Forest whilst Finchampstead Athletic, like Fernhill, take on a team doing well in Division 1, AFC Crowthorne Stiffs. An all-Division 1 tie between Winkfield and Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW completes the draw.

In the Junior Cup, Golden Farmer Rangers Reserves and Woodley Saints again go toe to toe having played each other in the League last weekend, Golden Farmer coming out on top in that one by 2-0. Crownwood Dukes, leading Division 4, will look to cause an upset against Sandhurst FFC of Division 2. Silver Birch Dynamoes v Bracknell Saint Germain and Bracknell Athletic Reserves v Winnersh Rangers completes the draw.

The much-delayed 2nd round tie in the Berks & Bucks Junior Trophy between Bracknell Cavaliers Reserves and Bearwood Wandrers will played this weekend. The winners will play their 3rd round tie the following weekend (home v. Sandhurst Sports Club) and, potentially the 4th round on 6th January.

League action

The pick of this weekend’s three Premier Division fixtures sees Morale Madrid (4th) take on Raglan (3rd). A win for either team will see then move level on points with the top two of Fernhill and Crowthorne Inn. Elsewhere Panthers, still searching for their first win, take on WAB whilst FC Meta play Golden Farmer Rangers.

There will be no change this weekend at the top of Division 1 with the top three in Cup action whilst Finchampstead Athletic Reserves, in 4th, don’t play. Fifth placed Berks County take on Panthers Reserves and a win for County will put them back into contention. Panthers have yet to register a point this season. The other two fixtures see Crowthorne FC (11th) take on Bracknell Athletic (9th) whilst Woodley United (6th) play Athletico Ascot (8th).

In Division 2 Moore Close Manor will close to within a point of Sandhurst FFC at the top with a win against 3M. Elsewhere, Ashridge Park play their “derby” against Ashridge Park Royals.

Pick of this weekend’s Division 3 fixtures see top team Bearwood Wanderers take on Running Horse (4th) whilst in-form Bracknell Cavaliers (2nd) play Bracknell Royals (9th). Braybrooke Athletic, in 3rd,will look to stay in contention with a win at home against Silver Birch A.

Crownwood Dukes, current leaders of Division 4 have breathing space amounting to 5-points over FC Harmanswater. That will remain unchallenged this weekend as the closest challengers, Bracknell Cavaliers Reserves (3rd), and 11 points adrift of Dukes, play Silver Birch (5th).
