The Berks & Bucks Junior Cup has reached 4th round stage with Loveman United and Bracknell Athletic representing the Bracknell Sunday League with ties against Swans and Maidenhead Cosmos respectively. FiB wish both teams every success as they bid to take their place in the hat for the quarter final draw.

The much delayed 2nd round tie in the Berks & Bucks Junior Trophy is to be played between Bracknell Cavaliers Reserves and Bearwood Wanderers, both of the Bracknell Sunday League (Divisions 4 and 3 respectively).

With FC Fernhill in Aldershot Cup action this weekend (away to Chobham & Burymead) both Crowthorne Inn and Raglan could take top spot in the Premier Division with points against Golden Farmer Rangers and Panthers respectively. All three teams are currently level on 16 points, though Fernhill have the better goal difference and have played one fewer game. The other fixture to be played sees Finchampstead Athletic play Athletico Forest. A win for Finch would again close the gap between them and the leading pack whilst a win for Forest would see them move up the table by two positions into 6th position.

The day’s top game in Division 1 sees Wokingham & Emmbrook (top) play 3rd placed Finchampstead Athletic Reserves. A win for W&E will see them stretch their lead at the top to 5 points whilst a win for Finch will see them take top spot. The only other game to be played in the Division sees Panthers Reserves travel to Athletico Ascot who will be buoyed by their big win at Woodley last weekend.

The lead at the top of Division 2 could change hands this weekend as Sandhurst FFC (top) face a tough challenge from 3rd placed Golden Farmer Rangers Reserves whilst 2nd placed Moore Close Manor play a struggling Bracknell Corinthians. Should Sandhurst fail to win their game and Moore Close win theirs, the latter will move top.

With leaders Bearwood Wanderers in Cup action, the chasing pack will look to close the gap at the top of Division 3. Second placed Bracknell Cavaliers face a tough challenge from Finchampstead Athletic A whilst 4th place Running Horse play Bracknell Saint Germain in 7th. Braybrooke Athletic get their campaign in the Eric Holbrook Trophy started with an away tie against Lightwater.

Favourites to take the Division 4 title Crownwood Dukes, who lead the table by 5 points, travel to play a struggling Silver Birch. Second placed FC Harmanswater will look to keep on the pressure play 3rd placed Bracknell Athletic Reserves.

This week’s wet weather has already wiped out games to be played at St Crispins School and Locks Ride and the following games have been postponed:

  • Morale Madrid v FC Meta (Premier Division)
  • Winkfield v. Berks Copunty (Division 1)
  • Silver Birch Dynamoes v. Ashridge Park (Division 2)

The three games to be played at Cantley Park will be subject to referee’s inspections.
