Two Bracknell Sunday League teams bid to make progress this weekend in the Berks & Bucks Junior Trophy. In 3rd round action Bearwood Wanderers host Sandhurst Sports Club whilst in the 4th round of the competition Woodley Saints host Shinfield Park United.

This weekend’s fixture programme, the last of the year as the League takes a two-week break for Christmas, sees some mouth-watering games at the top of the Premier, 1st and 2nd Divisions.

Competition at the League’s summit looks set to ignite this weekend. Top billing in the Premier Division sees current leaders Raglan visit FC Fernhill (3rd) whilst 2nd placed Crowthorne Inn take on Athletico Forest. Fourth placed Finchampstead Athletic entertain WAB. Results could see a shift in positions as we go into the Christmas break. The weekends other games in the Division see FC Meta take on Morale Madrid whilst Golden Farmer Rangers entertain Panthers.

It’s looking just as tight at the top of Division 1 and Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW could re-take top spot with a win (Finchampstaed Athletic Reserves don’t play) but face a stern challenge from Woodley United. Loveman United in 3rd could themselves take top spot with a win against bottom team Panthers Reserves should W&E slip up. The other interesting looking game sees Crowthorne FC take on AFC Crowthorne Stiffs (4th), the latter looking to complete a league double over their sister team and maintain their own challenge for the title.
The stand-out fixture in Division 2 sees the top two slug it out as Moore Close Manor (2nd) host Sandhurst FFC, who lead their opponents by 3 points and have a game in hand. Golden Farmer Rangers Reserves in 3rd, who will be trying hard to prevent the race for the title from becoming a two-horse race, face a trip to Bracknell Corinthians, a team struggling following promotion last season.

With Bearwood Wanderers in County Cup action, Bracknell Cavaliers will look to close to within 3 points of the Division 3 leaders with a win against bottom team Bracknell Royals. Elsewhere, Braybrooke Athletic (3rd) take on Running Horse (4th).

With leaders of Division 4 Crownwood Dukes not playing this weekend, FC Harmanswater could take top spot with a win but will have to overcome Bracknell Cavaliers to do so.
