Moore Close Manor and Sandhurst FFC battle it out at top Bracknell Sunday League Division 2

With Bracknell Town & District Sunday League Premier Division leaders FC Fernhill playing in their Aldershot Cup tie this weekend (away to Chobham & Burymead), Crowthorne Inn have the chance to re-take top spot with a win but face a tough challenge from 4th placed Finchampstead Athletic.

Elsewhere Panthers, spurred by their first win of their Premier Division campaign last weekend, will look to add to that with a win over out of sorts Golden Farmer Rangers.

Elsewhere its 5th versus 6th as Morale Madrid entertain FC Meta and completing this weekend’s fixtures in the division Athletico Forest play WAB.

Top game in Division 1 sees 3rd placed Loveman United play leaders Finchampstead Athletic Reserves. Both teams will know that a win for either will put them in a strong position at the top of a tightly contested division knowing that 2nd placed team Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW play Athletico Ascot.

A mere 2 points separate the top 3 going into the weekends fixtures. With games in hand over the top 2, 5th placed AFC Crowthoirne Stiffs will look to put themselves right into the mix and play their “derby” against

Crowthorne FC. The top two in Division 2 go head to head as 2nd placed Moore Close Manor host leaders Sandhurst FFC. A win for Manor will see them take top spot whilst a win for Sandhurst will stretch their lead to 6 points. Elsewhere 4th placed Ashridge Park Royals play 3rd placed Golden Farmer Rangers Reserves.

Division 3 leaders Bearwood Wanderers, looking to stretch their lead, play bottom team Silver Birch A. Bracknell Cavaliers in 2nd, looking to stay in touch with the leaders, play Bracknell Saint Germain (8th) whilst 3rd placed Braybrooke Athletic travel to Bracknell Royals.

Division 4 leaders Crownwood Dukes will look to make amends for their defeat at the hands of Silver Birch last weekend, face 6th placed Bracknell Athletic Reserves. Defeat for Dukes this weekend could allow FC Harmanswater to take top spot if they were to beat Bracknell Titans.

In County Cup news, this week’s draw has kept the 3 remaining Bracknell Sunday League teams apart in quarter final ties of the Junior Trophy. (to be played Sunday 27th January). Winnersh Town and Bearwood Wanderers have been drawn at home and will play Jolly Sportsman and Hazlemere Sports respectively, whilst Winnersh Town travel to play Totteridge Hotspurs.
