This weekend Eversley & California face a season defining fixture as they travel to face Cove in a relegation 6 pointer.

The two sides occupy the bottom two places in the Combined Counties Division One table with the Boars one point better off than their hosts, and with games running out, the result will go a long way to determining who will finish at the foot of the league and face potential relegation.

A win for Eversley will see them safe and consign Cove to a bottom place finish. A win for Cove is not as terminal for Eversley as the Boars have an extra game to play, but it would leave them in last position and favourites to stay there. It could be a tense afternoon for both sides at Oak Farm Fields.

Also in the Combined Counties League Division One, Sandhurst Town play their final home game of the season as they welcome Kensington Borough to Bottom Meadow.

Kensington are on a run of form that has seen them go undefeated since the beginning of February and has taken them away from the bottom of the table and the threat of relegation to safety.

The Fizzers climbed into the top 6 in midweek by virtue of a thumping 4-0 away win at Bagshot, and a win on Saturday will be vital for their hops of maintaining that position in the final standings as they have three tough away games to complete their fixtures.

In the Hellenic Division One East the leagues top two goalscorers face off when Holyport host Wallingford Town at Summerleaze Village.

Port’s Fabian Driffill has 29 goals in 39 games this season and is second in the scoring charts behind Wally’s Charlie Silkstone, who has 39 in the same number of games. Holyport have taken 13 points from their last 5 league games as they look to finish the season strongly and hopefully secure a place in the FA Cup for next year.

Wallingford moved to within two points of Holyport in midweek when they played out a thrilling 4-4 draw at promotion chasing Thame Rangers. Wally were 2-0 up, then 3-2 down and came back to lead 4-3 only to concede a last-minute equaliser in a game that saw their hosts finish with 9 men, having had their goalkeeper sent off after 6 minutes and another player receiving two yellows in quick succession late on.

AFC Aldermaston were due to travel to face Woodcote Stoke Row in the Reading Senior Cup, but for the second time Woodcote have not been able to raise a side so the Atomics receive a bye to the Semi-final where they will face Wallingford.
