In the Hellenic Division One East AFC Aldermaston welcome Holyport to the Rec Soc in a Berkshire derby clash between the league’s two form sides. The Atomics have taken 15 points from their last 6 league games while Port have 16 in their last 6.

Aldermaston are in 3rd place in the table and still holding on to hopes of promotion this season, however they are no longer able to catch league leaders Burnham, so if they are to go up it will have to be as one of the best 2nd placed sides at the end of the season. Holyport cannot be promoted this year but will be looking to finish as high up the table as possible in order to receive a FA Cup Extra Preliminary round berth next season.

Another side looking to have a say in the promotion race is Wokingham & Emmbrook who host 2nd place Thame Rangers at Larges Lane. The Sumas cannot go up themselves but like Holyport a win will keep them in contention for a potential FA Cup place whilst putting a dent in their visitors’ promotion campaign.

Thame still have a slim chance to go up automatically but that would require a win at the weekend and in their final game at home to Aldermaston next week, and Burnham’s result to go their way.

Away from Berkshire Burnham can be named champions and promoted this weekend if they win at home to bottom side Chinnor. A draw will more than likely be enough for Burnham as they have such a large goal difference, but should Chinnor claim a surprise victory, Burnham will be nervously looking over their shoulders as two wins for Thame would be enough to claim top spot.

In the Combined Counties Division One Sandhurst Town make the short trip to North Hampshire to face Fleet Spurs. Fleet sit in 17th place in the table but they are currently on a five-match undefeated streak claiming 9 points over those games.

The Fizzers are looking to maintain their current 6th place in the table until the end of the season, and with their main competition for that position, Ash United and Epsom & Ewell both facing tricky away games, a win at Fleet could put some distance between themselves and their rivals.

A win for Sandhurst could also help Eversley & California as they are just one point and one place behind Fleet Spurs in the table. The Boars host Kensington Borough at the ESA Ground knowing they are safe from relegation after last weekend’s victory at bottom side Cove.

Kensington are two places above Eversley in the table, but they have been sowing some strong end of season form, going 8 games undefeated in the league before suffering their first loss in 10 weeks last weekend at Sandhurst. Eversley will be looking to secure back to back victories for the first time since November as they aim to end their season in a positive fashion.
