On Saturday at Summerleaze Village two Berkshire sides go head to head as Langley host AFC Aldermaston. League newcomers Langley will be buoyed by securing their first league win of the season with a hard fought 4-3 victory over Woodley United on Tuesday night.

That result lifted them off the foot of the table and a second win on the bounce could see them rise as high as 14th.

Aldermaston sit in mid table after an up and down start to their campaign. The Atomics have been knocked out of three cups in their last three games but undefeated in their last four league games, a run that stretches back to mid-August.

In the other Hellenic Division One East match with Berkshire interest, Chalvey Sports entertain Penn & Tylers Green at Arbour Park.

Chalvey have been somewhat of a surprise package so far this season; they have enjoyed a strong start to their campaign and currently sit second in the table, although they missed the chance to close the gap to leaders Risborough Rangers in midweek when they lost at home to Abingdon United.

Penn have also enjoyed a strong start to the season, taking 12 points from their six games, and a win for them on Saturday will see them leapfrog Chalvey in the standings.

Risborough test

Wokingham & Emmbrook take a break from league football this weekend to turn their attention to the Bluefin Sports Challenge Cup. The Sumas face a stern test in getting to the next round as they host Hellenic Division One East leaders Risborough Rangers.

Risborough have not lost n any competition so far this season and have only failed to win once in their 11 games in all competitions. The Sumas come into the game off the back of a 3-0 victory at Kidlington Development on Tuesday.

Top four challenge

In the Combined Counties League Division One Sandhurst Town welcome Godalming Town to Bottom Meadow. The Fizzers are currently in second in the table and are one of the teams looking for promotion with four places available at the end of the season.

Godalming are currently towards the other end of the table having taken four points from their opening seven games, however three of those points came last weekend as they beat FC Deportivo Galicia 3-0 so they will be hoping to bring that form to Sandhurst.

Eversley & California will be looking to lift themselves off the foot of the table when they travel to face Chessington & Hook.

The Boars are at the bottom of the table after a disappointing start to the season, but a win on Saturday could see them climb as high as 16th, with their hosts being one of the sides they could leapfrog.

Chessington are looking to end a run of seven games in all competitions without a win, and register their first three points since mid August.
