Ascot United have announced they will host Southern Premier side Hayes & Yeading United at the Racecourse Ground on Saturday.

The club website states: “The last pre-season friendly for the Yellamen before the league season starts on Tuesday 2nd August, KO is 3.00pm. This is a good opportunity to see how the new squad is shaping up so get down to the Racecourse for what should be an entertaining game. Entrance is free and catering and bar will be open“.

There has been precious little on the announcements front for fans of the Yellamen this summer but a number of players have left the club, although Steven Deverall, Damien Markman and Stuart Swift have signed on for another season.

The Hayes side visiting East Berkshire is not expected to be a first team who are opening their new SkyEx Community Stadium against Hendon this evening.

Elsewhere, Bracknell Town make the journey to Windsor for their last friendly of the campaign while Binfield were beaten by a very strong Hungerford Town side including Reading legend Mikele Leigertwood on Thursday night.
