It was an 80th minute winner on Wednesday night but Reading FC Women were finally undone by this brilliant strike from Manchester City’s Toni Duggan.

Only off the bench 7 minutes earlier Duggan makes the most of a poor attempted clearance by fellow substitute Laura-May Walkley to fire home from the edge of the ‘D’ leaving Royals goalkeeper Mary Earps (pictured above) with no chance.

The result was Reading’s first defeat in two games after draws with Birmingham City and Notts County, and leaves Kelly Chambers side 7th in the league with half the season gone.
